Paws Up 4 Rescue's mission to come to the rescue of any animal that is in danger of abuse, abandonment or being prematurely euthanized due to overcrowding conditions.  We are the protectors of those without a voice and we ensure that every Rescue Animal that comes through our doors are provided with the proper medical attention and placed in the arms of one of our ever-loving foster volunteers who will reintroduce these animals into a loving and nurturing life outside the environment from which they left.  We are also committed to educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering as part of being a responsible pet owner.

Mission Statement

"You can't buy love, but you can rescue it"

As the owner and founder of Paw Up for Rescue, Tana Labuda has built her reputation with many of the out-of-state kill shelters by stepping in and saving a number of dogs that were considered "unsavable". Tana is proud of the fact that Paws Up 4 Rescue is one of the few rescues willing to take heartworm positive dogs and treat them for this life-threatening disease. She has also rescued many more wonderful dogs, moms, and puppies especially, from the heartbreaking fate of euthanasia due to overcrowding. Because of her reputation, she was among the rescues contacted to help with the victims of Hurricane Irma in 2017.

Tana realizes that she would not be able to successfully save all these lives without the on-going commitment of her many volunteers and the other selfless organizations she partners with such as the transport teams who ensure that each rescue animals is provided with safe passage to the Paws Up 4 Rescue vet for their wellness visit before they are placed into hands of one of our many Fosters who provide the love, care, and rehabilitation necessary for these animals.

As a 100% foster-based rescue, she relies on generous volunteers to take the animals into their home and care for them while they await their forever homes. If you're interested in joining Tana's team, Paws Up provides everything needed for the animal such as leashes, collars, food, treats, crates, medical care, etc. All you supply is the shelter and the love and the ability to present them at adoption events.
